No one has dared reach out a grab my belly, not even my own mother. I am not really showing all that much, but my plus-size pokey belly is pokier. Anyway, we had my in-laws over for dinner tonight. Not even 5 minutes into the visit, she goes right for the belly! Yikes. I have always been uncomfortable with my belly, so someone grabbing at it was kinda weird and unsettling, especially since it is not all bump yet. At least she did it quickly and it was out of excitement, but ugh. I really hope this is a one-time thing!

I don't believe that God ever tells us "no". he has three options. Yes, not right now, or I have something better in mind. We just have to wait & see.

LOL- the first time it happened to me I was taken aback, but now I've gotten to see that it's just what some people do. I've had the belly pat/grab from a coworker, about 1/2 of my girlfriends and (at dinner last night) my two male cousins each took a turn.
Maybe our pot belly bodies are just too irrisistable!
It won't be the last time.
This morning in church, my DH put his hand on my belly during a prayer...it made me jump a little (my eyes were closed!) so, I leaned over and put my hand on HIS belly.
Not that I mind HIM touching my belly, but it felt a little weird in church!
This. DH ran interference so that there wouldn't be any awkward situations. So far, the only person who has really touched my belly was my friend's husband. It was super awkward.
Ugh. Anyone who puts their hand on my belly is gonna get it back missing a few fingers.
I am not a huggy person. A handshake is about all anyone will ever get out of me. (except my kitties and my guy and of course my baby.) It's just not my style.
Only my husband and step-daughter have really touched my stomach. My step-daughter kissed my stomach the other day when she was saying bye. What a great big sister she will make.
I expect that people will touch my stomach and I am waiting for it to happen. It will just be strange when a person I don't know does it.
