I had my baby, and it's a. . .(PIP)

GIRL!!! I had my scheduled c-section on Wednesday afternoon (2 days before due date).  Amelia Jane was born at 1:29 and weighed 6#12oz and was 21 inches long. It took us a few hours to name her, but her name fits her perfectly.She was named for my great-grandmother and her mother, who were the 2 most loved relatives in my mom's family tree.  I always loved hearing stories about them growing up because they sounded like amazing women.  Jane is for my mother in law, who is an awesome lady.  Not knowing the sex of the baby definitely helped my nerves and anxiety- when I was getting anesthesia/about to get cut/etc. I just kept thinking about if my baby was a girl or boy.

We left the hospital Friday at noon and we're happily adjusting as a family of 4.  Amelia didn't want to nurse at the hospital, but she's doing much better now. . . we have a weight check tomorrow so fingers crossed she is either maintaining or gaining weight. I'm hoping the in-laws bring some newborn sized clothes when they come to visit tomorrow, because her 4 outfits my mom went out and bought are going through the wash like crazy (I honestly thought I'd never have a baby under 8#- and was clearly wrong LOL). Here's a picture when she's a few hours old.
