For a few months, we used BumGenius overnight with no issue. We used an insert and a doubler and things were fine. Now, she leaks every night. Our only option is to put 2 inserts in her diaper (which makes her look like she's about to blast off into space or something and none of her PJ's will fit with it on) or to use a disposable. Am I missing something here? Are there any really absorbent inserts that won't make her look like she's in a space suit? TIA

Hemp is awesome. And thinner than microfiber.

I have the 3 layer AMP doublers. I pair one of those with a MF and it lasts overnight. I could fit 2 doublers if I need to down the road.

I use a pocket diaper overnight - Kawaii heavy wetter with one MF insert and two hemp inserts. Yes, it's huge and I've had to go up a size in PJs. But no leaks!

We use a BG 4.0 pocket stuffed with a small Hemp Babies doubler (the furthest from the baby since hemp absorbs a ton, but slowly), the regular MF BG insert, and the MF BG doubler. We never have leaks at night! The hemp is really key.

My DD is still small, but we use fitteds with a fleece doubler and a wool cover.

We use BG 3.0 AIOs size L with 2 babykicks hemp inserts one S, one L. His butt is huge and we go up a size in pants but no leaks

He leaked every night in disposables, they are not absorbent enough.

eventually mydaughter just stopped fitting in BGs overnight. We were using 1 AFFF with 2 bamboo inserts at that point, having tried every other combination. She sleeps on her belly so she was also having a ton of compression leaks from MF.

We switched to fitteds/covers overnight, and now are in fitteds/covers f/t

After I started adding hemp to DS's pockets, he ended up with water-filled blisters in his diaper area. So, I do use sposies. I went to a cloth diaper party recently, and several ladies do sposies for night. One said she used Best Bottoms with a hemp liner and the regular BB liner.

I stopped using pockets at night when LO started flipping and sleeping on her tummy. Always had leaks since i had to stuff them so much, it would leak up the front. Now we go with a bamboo fitted diaper and wool cover. No problems there and she can sleep the way she pleases.

My son is 7months & a belly sleeper. We use a BG with a red edge PF stuffed in. We never have leaks with that and I consider him a pretty heavy wetter.

Thanks for all of the advice ladies! I think I'll go to the consignment store in town tomorrow (they sell a lot of used cloth diapers) and gather some hemp inserts. Our little girl sleeps on her belly most of the night but will flip back and forth. The diapers leak from the top front mostly so we'll see what works.

That's definitely a compression leak, and it will keep happening as long as you're using MF.

I would switch to some combination of hemp/bamboo/prefolds. Good luck.

The leak up the front still happened with hemp so I bought some Kawaii Goodnights. We'll start using them tonight. They look like they'll work well. Here's hoping!
