I decided to do cloth diapers for my baby and I find that every time I talk to somebody (my mom, ML, friends) I end up trying to justify my decision, trying to convince them is the best for my baby. Does this happen to everybody?

Yep. Fortunatly my Mom used cloth for my brother so I had her support 100%. Most people act like it's either disgusting "Do you know what is in those diapers?!" like they won't have to handle poop if it's in a disposable, or it will be too much work for us to handle. I can usually shut people up quickly by telling them how much money we will be saving, especially with the second kid.
My mom used cloth diaper too with us, but with my nieces and nephew she used disposables and feels it is so much convenient. I know this is the best decision for our baby but trying to explain the reasons to other people is tiring. For me now that I am going to have a baby I can't justified leaving all that waste in the world my baby is going to live.

I don't feel the need to justify it, but I do find myself talking about my decision to other people a lot. Not because I feel uncomfortable, but because I want to convince other people to use cloth.

Same here. I want to tell the world! I bring it up because I am proud of my decision and love talking about it!
There was more criticism before the baby was born. Now that we've been at it 5 months, people just let us do what we're doing. Once in a while I get a comment about it, but it's mostly about how cute the cloth diapers are.
my mom just stopped by, and said something about cleaning out their closet. I said "well, don't get rid of any wool sweaters, we'll need them to make soakers for night time."
You might as well have told her that her head was on fire. "OMG, you're going to have stinky wet wool in the crib, on their bottoms all night???"
(like I just disclosed we were feeding them sardines every day or something)
"Yes, Mom. There's nothing I'd like to do more, than a mom of newborn twins and a toddler, than two have wet stinky nasty wool-covered babies in their cribs every night so I make more laundry for myself. Yes, yes. That is our plan."

Just Mom and MIL. MIL thinks it's ridiculously expensive. DH ruined a BG. I paid $17 local for it. She started lecturing me about spending money. Seriously? The amount of times it's been pooped and peed in has paid for itself. My Mom just tells me I won't commit to anything. I won't want to do it, she's such a debbie downer. She tells me not to buy canning jars because it's more work than I think, same with CD.
My friends think it's kind of cool, so do all the doctors.
To my boys: I will love you for you Not for what you have done or what you will become I will love you for you I will give you the love The love that you never knew
I got a few comments before she was born (but I've always done things a little "different" so no one was really surprised...) but now, no one really mentions it. I mean, it clearly works just fine for us and DD is an adorable, healthy baby who rarely gets diaper rash, so really, what can they say?
People sometimes ask, and I try my best to answer without sounding preachy b/c I really do love talking about CDing. It's not for everyone, though.
Less of a justification than an explanation. People are really interested when they see me changing a diaper. Today at the pumpkin patch three diff. moms asked me about it and a fourth pointed accusingly at her husband and said "SEE, PEOPLE DO SO USE CLOTH OUT OF THE HOUSE." (She had her baby in disposables per his request.)

This exactly. When I was pregnant, and it came up in conversation that we were planning to use cloth, I got a lot of "Well, we'll see how long that lasts!" I tried to change the subject most of the time. Now, though, when it comes up, people seem surprised that we're still at it, but they don't give me grief over it anymore.

The couple times I've gotten "ewwww you're doing what?" from people, I shrug and say, "You have to deal with tons of baby poop either way don't you?" and so far no one has had a retort back.
Yes definitely. My Mom loved doing CD's and did for all 4 of her kids and 2 foster kids. My MIL on the other hand CD'd her sons out of necessity, because they didn't have money to do anything else and she did it begrudgingly. MIL is really my only person so far that has not supported what I'm planning with CD's.

I just haven't told anyone. They will just find out if they ever volunteer to change my baby's diaper b/c I'll hand them a cloth diaper and say go for it! HAHA! I find that people tend to keep some of their opinions to themselves once it's already said and done and this goes for almost everything surrounding the baby: name choice, breastfeeding vs. bottle, diapering, etc...
