What eye color do you secretly hope your child has?
I know if you both have blue eyes your child will have blue eyes but what about the rest of us?
Everyone in DH's family have the most beautiful blue eyes and IMO is looks so striking with the dark hair and the dark complexion. My eyes are so dark they look black or as my family so nicely likes to say like mud.
I wonder what this little beauty will have?
Mom and sister have beautiful green eyes and my dad has the brown ones as well.
Everyone in DH's family has blue..... they also have ALL boys so I am hoping we get the eye color but not the sex but I will save that for another day.

I have to say I really like super deep brown eyes. My sister is from China and unless she is facing the sun they look totally black. In the sun she has these beautiful flecks of mahogoney (sp?).
ETA: Addition
I was a blond until I was in 1st grade so I know what you mean about your hair getting darker with age. My hair is so dark now it is hard to imagine that I was a white blond as a baby.
I also think the dark hair blue eye combo is so beautiful that is why I secretly would love that for my child, however, I think brown/brown is just as pretty and I would not be disappointed if my child turned out with this combo - I just secretly hope the baby gets its daddies eyes.
I LOVE navy eyes. My niece has these. I think it would have been cute if Hazel got her dads hazel eyes
I was hoping for that, but alas it did not happen.
DH and I both have brown eyes...I suppose we both have hints of green in them too, but mostly brown. We expected to have brown eyed kids.
Much to our surprise DD#1 had bright blue eyes up until a year old! And now they are a very pretty hazel green, more on the green side. They are very pretty but we didn't expect them.
I was thrilled when DD#2's eyes started getting darker. She's my brown eyed girl.
I wouldn't be shocked if we had another brown eyed kid.
I think you made out a-ok on the cute department and I wouldn't change a thing about your little sweetie.
Thanks. I am pretty pleased. I would change one thing about her though. She is so serious and when strangers or people she doesn't see often are trying to play with her she just stares at them with this "get the f away from me" look. It is kind of funny, but kind of sad at the same time. It takes a lot to get her to smile and she doesn't laugh unless you are tickling her.
Green like DD3. Everyone on DH's side has brown eyes, my family has all the "weird" stuff, LOL!
My mom has green eyes my dad has brown eyes, my older brother has grey eyes, I have brown/green (in the sun they're green) eyes, my 1st sister has brown eyes....
My DD1 has 1 brown eye, 1 green eye (her father's eyes are blue/green)
DD2 has brown eyes like DH
DD3 has green/grey eyes, they're somewhere in between my moms & my older brothers.
It'd be awesome if this one came out with eyes like DD3 but at this point I'm sure they'll be brown like DH's & DD2's =0)

My Blog
I really want a blond haired, blue eyed baby. My Mom and Dad and all of us kids had blue eyes.
DH has brown eyes but his Dad has blue so we know he has one brown and one blue trait. So, it's 50-50 if we get brown or blue.
Obviously I will love our baby no matter what but both my niece and nephew have blond hair, blue eyes and they are so gorgeous!
Something other than blah brown. I have brown hair, brown eyes. DH has red hair and green eyes. I believe all of his family has blue eyes and my family is a mix, my oldest brother has blue, the other 3 have brown. My mom has brown. I think my dad had blue, but I don't really know, he passed when I was DS's age.
DS has the prettiest blue eyes I have ever seen. He was born with a ton of red hair, the exact same shade as DH's. DS lost all of his hair and it was slow to come back but it came back light blonde. Recently, his hair has been looking more strawberry blonde than light blonde. His eyebrows and eyelashes are still red so I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being a redhead. I always wanted a redhead and told DH that well at least I had one for 10 weeks.
I once had a picture until the trolls showed up.

DH's entire family has steely blue eyes, I have green. My dad and sister have deep mahogany brown eyes and my moms eyes are kind of golden brown.
I'd be happy with any eye colour the baby has, but I don't want it to have my vision (-7.5 on both eyes with contacts).

I don't really have any hopes. I'm just really curious what color eyes this LO will have because my son's have been a complete surprise.
I am brown-eyed as are my father, mother, and brother (all different shades of brown though...mine are the darkest). DH has beautiful green eyes. His dad has dark brown, his mom and sister have bright blue.
DS was born with bright blue eyes and they stayed that way until 6 months or so, when they started to turn more grayish. Now (at 16 months), they seem to change depending on the lighting. They can be anyway from blue-gray to green-brown, so I guess we'll call them hazel? I thought for sure he'd have dark brown eyes like me.
