Yeah for JcPenny

I have been on the search maternity pants and just about all of the stores in my area have gotten rid of their maternity section.  Finally I tried JCPenny and although their maternity section was small (actually didn't see any dresses) they had bunches of pants in all sizes.  I know I can order stuff on-line but my last experience with that was bad.  I am evidently a bad judge of size.

Here is the run down of where I tried in my town:

Super Wal-Mart - no maternity

Target - small maternity - smallest size was large (I think they think everyone here is fat).

Old Navy - no maternity (although neighboring town has one which is very small)

Macy's (Motherhood Maternity and Pea and Pod)- Expensive and I hated everything there.  Well Pea and Pod were cute but I am not spending $100 on a sweater.

Kohl's - very small maternity section, product is hit or miss just like the rest of the store.

Once Upon a Child (consignment chain store): also got rid of maternity.

I guess the big stores must not make any money on maternity.  Bleh to all those stores.  Yeah for JcPenny!

Err...  Me three.  I wear an L or XL, tyvm, and I don't think of myself as fat.  And isn't it JC Penney?  Also, I just got a bunch of really nice clothing from Motherhood, but it is a little pricey.  I think they know that a lot of pregnant women are deperate to find nice clothes that fit.  I didn't think of Penney's.

  • Sorry didn't mean that to be insulting.  I just found it odd that they had no S or M. Apologizes all around.

  • I live on the out skirts of Denver and am having the same problem, I've tried every where and find no maternity sections or if I do it consists of only 1 or 2 racks. Other than motherhood which I deem too pricey I am stuck with unflattering xl clothes. But have no luck with pants. I've been wearing my reg pants un buttoned and unzipped with a belly band. With the weather changing I really would like to find pants and a jacket that will close over my belly. There is a j c penny 2 towns over I think I might have to drive up there and cross my fingers. I can't justify spending $80-$100 on a shirt or pants that I'm only going to wear for 3 months. That's almost $200 for one outfit x's 5 work days.  I hate when the sales people at mother hood tell me to check their clearance racks because it's all summer stuff, and all the awkward sizes. I cant wear skirts and tank tops in freezing temps. I am sincerely annoyed as well!
