In L&D...possibly "for real"

I started having bright red bleeding last night like a period. I called my OB and he said to go to the nearest ER. This happened to be Mass General in Boston which has turned out to be a lovely hospital, in case anyone was wondering. Anyways, they evaluated me and said could be nothing, could be preterm labor, they wanted to watch me overnight. I was 3cm dilated when I arrived last night and now I'm 4 and having actual contractions and a lot more bleeding. Since I'm past 34 weeks the doc said they don't try to stop preterm labor at this point. They did a u/s and said Baby looks great and would be just fine if born today. So now I'm just waiting to see what happens! Scary but exciting and I feel like I'm in good hands here.
