I really want to paint the nursery this weekend. I was set on doing pink not a soft pastel pink a little darker pink. Now I am thinking should I do all the walls pink or should I do a contrast? Or if I do all pink would either stripes or polka dots be cute? Really any opinions on nursery would be appreciated even if it isn't one of my choices. I just dont want the standard one color and plain. All of our furniture in the room will be white. I wanted espresso but my sister is giving me an amazing dresser that is pink and white.

Re: Nursery Decisions! Opinions please!
Love your ideas! We did a gender neutral nursery (we didn't know the sex with our first 2) but then did the girly rooms once they moved out into their big girl rooms.
My 2nd DD just turned 3 and I'm 16wks along with #3 so we moved her from the nursery and did her big girl room with thick, horizontal pink and white stripes. (Kinda like you described, not pastel more like a medium, cotton candy type pink) It turned out super cute. Her colors in her room are pink and green and I love, love, love the striped walls. I'll see if I can find a pic
Good luck! Putting their rooms together is so much fun!
Something that people have started doing now is using flat wall color and then painting stripes or polka dots with a high gloss (not sure it they use clear or the same color) so it looks all pink at first glance, but them you have the design that stands out super glossy!
Like this.... https://i-cdn.apartmenttherapy.com/uimages/sf/0205_stripe01.jpg
Here were the inspiration pics: (I guess I don't have the pics of her room uploaded to Shutterfly yet) I will say, we went a little less "dusty pink" and more of a brighter pink and white stripe. Looks cute and preppy, IMO
I'm in the midst of working out the whole paint thing too. I had an idea (and Hubby liked as well), but I decided this morning that it was too labor-intensive. I have since come up with a new idea (that I have completely fallen in love with), but I still have to work out all the "how-to" details so I can explain it to Hubby when he wakes up and *fingers crossed* get his approval.
Good luck!

since you like espresso, why don't you do large espresso stripes with white and a small pink stripe or vice versa.
Another idea would be to paint the room pink and then make an accent wall with the espresso - but jazz it up a bit and only paint a section brown and border it with crown molding. then you could do a stencil with the baby's name, your last name, a quote, etc... and put the crib there or put up pictures
I love stripes and polka dots, but we are not that skilled. I used this room as color inspiration...
In our 5 year old DD's room we painted three walls in pale pink and one wall in a darker purple. It looks very nice and she loves it.
I love etsy!!!
I'm not usually a pink girl, but am a bold color girl so I like the idea of a brighter pink with something! I think stripes would be cute but are more expected, polk a dots would be awesome! I don't know if you have this or if it's an option but I had an office with chair railing and I did the bottom part of the wall dark purple, white trim, and then the top part of the wall was a lighter purple with medium purple sponge paint and it looked awesome! Here's a pic so you can get an idea. Good luck deciding and please post pix once you're done, I would love to see it!
You could go for pink and white with pops of black, or chocolate.
Perhaps a white wooden chair rail with large circles cutout to show a pop of black (or chocolate). With a light pink above the rail and a dark pink below. Pottery Barn Kids has this really cute rug: https://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/pink-chocolate-polka-dot-rug/?pkey=dall-rugs
I *really* love Pinterest!
