birthday gift for a 3 year old girl

We are going to a birthday party this weekend.  The little girl is turning 3.  I don't know her very well but I used to go to boot camp with her mom 3 days a week.  She has an older sister that is 4.  I am clueless about what to buy a little girl at this age.

    Abigail's a girly-girl, but she loves playing dress-up, loves anything disney princesses or tinkerbell, or really disney in general. She loves puzzles, and anything ballerina.

    Dress Up stuff generally a hit.

    How about get her something with her name embroidered on it?  Like a little bag.  With an older sister I would think it would be nice for her to have some things that are special, HERS, not shared with sis.  And at 3 she likely could recognize her own name.

    My daughter absolutly loves the plastic figurines from the Disney Store. They come in box with 6 or so figures. They have one for Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story, Cinderella, etc. They cost $9-12 and she has played with them every single day for the past year and a half.

    Anything princess, dress up related, or books. At 3 DD became obsessed with Fancy Nancy books.

    Everything mentioned and maybe Barbie/Dolls, games (Most board games start about 3 and up), DD loves art stuff

    Caroline loves dress up stuff, baby dolls and accessories, her disney tea set.  She has a pair of dress up shoes from Target that were like $5 that she LOVES.  I had to buy a replacement pair already.  She seriously wears them everyday.  They also have cute Circo brand (Target) chef aprons and hat sets that are 9.99. Caroline also likes the Pinkalicious books and I like the idea of getting something with her name on it since she has a big sister.
