It has occurred to me that I have never really introduced myself on here even though I've posted a few dozen times about my aches and pains.
My name is Melissa but everyone calls me Missy. I'm a 31 year old stay-at-home mom / wife / graphic designer / photographer.
My first born is now 8 years old. His name is Cameron and for the longest time I believed that he was going to be our only child because we struggled a lot with his behavioral issues. He was diagnosed in 2008 with mild Autism, Sensory Integration Disorder and ADHD, and thankfully his behavior has improved so much that you would never know him to be "different."
Now, we are pregnant again almost 9 years later, and although I'm ecstatic that we're expecting a baby girl (YAY! One of each!!!), I'm also very nervous about starting all over again after all these years.

Re: Let Me Introduce Myself
Welcome!!
Are you from Galway?
Hi!
My BF is also a graphic artist and I looooove photography!
My BF also has a 9 year old son and it makes him so nervous to have to start all over again with another kid. My only saving grace is that I have blind ignorance on my side (wahoo!) and it keeps me from being too nervous of things to come.
I *really* love Pinterest!
Hi! Nope, lol, not from Galway... but that's my user name because I love that song since I have dark hair and blue eyes with freckles and a lot of my heritage is Irish.
Thank you so much! It's definitely been a long battle, but well worth the fight.
Hi Missy,
I have a 5 yr old daughter with autism so I understand the struggles that can go along with it. We hadn't been planning on having any more children just because of the attention our daughter needs and the fear of possibly having another with autism. This baby came as a complete surprise to us. It's so good to hear that your son is doing well. I love to hear people's happy stories about their children with autism. Congratulations on the new baby, I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy and baby and best of luck to your family.
