toy cleaner

I use Babyganics toy and highchair cleaner for things with hard surfaces, but what do you use to clean your baby's cloth/stuffed toys?  Most are not machine washable and I don't exactly want to spray them with Lysol but my baby is starting to grab things.... and of course stick them in her mouth.

Re: toy cleaner

  • I don't buy stuff that's not washable. It's a losing proposition with a baby.  Most things (even if they don't say it) are washable in a lingerie bag on delicate and air dried.

For other stuff, I wash with water and throw it to dry completely in the sun.

  • Ditto kdello. (I recently tore the stitches out of a stuffed animal, removed it's battery pack--thanks for that, Mom!---and sewed it up again, just so I could machine wash it.) And for hard surfaces, straight vinegar's acidity will kill off any nasties.
