If it's a boy, we are pretty much settled on Ethan Jeffrey (FIL's name is Jeffrey). For a girl...much harder, I have found. We can't decide between Eleanor, Sophie, Fiona, or Charlotte.

I like Ethan Jeffrey, they are nice names that have been around for a long time (the type of names I'll probably pick for my LO). I really like Charlotte for a girl, but Sophie and Fiona are nice too. The only one I'd pass on is Eleanor.
Happily married for 4 years.

Well, Eleanor is kind of a family name/I had a dear childhood friend with the name, so it is connected with good memories. We'd probably call her Ellie or Elle as a nickname if we go with that :-)

Love your girl names! They are all on my "list"! And although I probably wouldn't name a boy Ethan, I do like it and have a good friend with that name, so good associations for me.
I love Ethan for a boy! I really like all of your girls names, if it were me I probably wouldn't go with Sophie due to popularity, but honestly they are all great and you can't go wrong.

Huh! Must be a regional thing - I've never met an Ethan in person in my life.
I like Ethan a lot! Nice flow with Jeffrey too. Of your girl names, I prefer Fiona and Charlotte. Very pretty and feminine.
