anyone Factor V Leiden?

My husband and I are currently ttc #1.  We had an early m/c in Aug and are cleared to try again. I just found out I am factor V leiden (heterozygous) and am now currently taking baby aspirin.  Was curious if anyone here has this diagnosis and if so, are you on blood thinners, just aspirin, etc? Did you see a hematologist? And if you are taking aspirin, did you notice any changes when you started?  For the first time EVER (and I am 40) this month I had spotting right at ovulation.  Was curious if this could be from the aspirin.

Me-42 DH-43 TTC #1 since 3/11
HSG 7/11 showed possible blockage
8/11 BFP, then early m/c  (Natural)
9/11 blood tests reveal Factor V Leiden (heterozygous)
11/11 Hysteroscopy revealed uterine septum, which was repaired
12/11 1st round of Clomid (100mg)=BFN
1/12 2nd round of Clomid (100mg)=BFN 
2/12 Repeat HSG=All clear 
2/12 IUI with injectables #1=BFN 
3/12 natural cycle=BFN 
4/12 IUI with injectables #2=C/P 
7/12 IVF #1=30ER, 9F, 3T, 1 Frostie 7/29=BFP! 
8/27/12 No Heartbeat. Waiting to M/C 
9/13/12 D+C
12/12 Operative Hysteroscopy 
1/31/12  IVF#2 ...BFP 2/6 m/c 2/12 methotrexate due to presumed ectopic
July '13 IVF #3: 13R, 10M, 8F=BFP
1st Beta=549  2nd Beta 594 3rd Beta 422. M/C #5
IVF#4 in November=BFP…TWINS!!!!!

    I am heterozygous Factor V....I take nothing.  I have never seen a hemotologist.  I am currently pg with #3 the only thing I need is lovenox for 6 weeks pp.  When I was first diagnosed like 15 years ago I did take an asprin a day but I bruised so easily they decided it was better I didnt take it.  Good Luck ttc!

    I am on lovenox and baby aspirin. Highly doubt that spotting after o is caused by BA. Sounds to me like hormonal, estrogen related. GL!

    No problem, just scroll down on the high risk board until you see a post lovenox weekly check in then just click on it. Hope that helps

    I also have FVL and take lovenox.  I didn't find out about the FVL until I was about 9 weeks along.  Initially my dr put me on a baby aspirin until I could meet with an MFM.  Once I started seeing the MFM, she started me on lovenox which I'll continue until 36 weeks (at which point I'll switch to Heparin) and then back to lovenox until 6 weeks postpartum.  Then they say, baby aspirin for life.

    Anyway, I don't know that this post was helpful at all, but I wanted to say welcome to the board anyway.  :)
