This might sound stupid...I'm just wondering because I plan to drink mine before I go to the doc and wondered if driving would be an issue...don't want to be swerving all over the road lol

I got very dizzy and threw up after...I think a big part of it may have been due to having gastric bypass in the past but I have to redo the 1 hour and I am going to do it at the doctors office because I had to have DH pick me up where I was to take me to the doctor

I expected it to, but I was fine. I can tolerate a lot of sugar though, so that might be why. I just crashed from the sugar rush about an hour or two later.
Our #2 is on the way!
BFP #1 - 08.2008, EDD 3.19.09 - Missed MC at 9 weeks - 09.2008
The 1 hour test, I was fine. The glucola didn't affect me at all, but then again it was only 50g of glucola. After the 3 hour test, which is 100g of glucola, I was so sleepy that I had to talk to my mom on the way home or I think I would've fell asleep. DH had lunch waiting on me when I got home and after I ate I slept for about 4 hours. I didn't trust myself to drive the rest of the day.
It didn't make me feel dizzy, but it did make me feel sick. My stomach grumbled, I was burping a lot & I felt nauseous. The lab guys told me to let them know if I felt faint, apparently that's pretty common if you do the test after fasting.

The one hour didn't bother me at all, but I was able to eat breakfast before drinking it. The three hour made me light-headed, but I had to fast and there was more sugar in the drink.
I got light headed about 15 mins after drinking the stuff yesterday. I also couldn't have anything super high in sugar all day after it. It made me feel so sick!
Not the 1 hour, but I was allowed to have breakfast first. The three hour made me jittery- but that's a more concentrated drink and on an empty stomach!

I had gastric bypass years ago and my doc let me get a glucose meter and check my blood sugars rather than doing the GT b/c of all the post-op patients who've gotten sick from the GTT. Maybe that's an option instead of rescheduling?

I just had my 1 hour glucose test this morning. I didn't have to fast, so I was fine driving there. The drink did make me feel a little funny, but I think it was too much sugar at 8 am : ). I had some crackers and water after the test was complete, and felt fine to drive home.

I haven't done one this pregnancy but last pregnancy I had the 3 hour and It made me very dizzy, nauseous, and I got a headache. So this GTT I am making DH drive me. and I will drink it on the car ride there.

No, I felt fine but when I went home I must say it cleared my system! Thank goodness I didn't have work that day because I had crazy diarrhea, sorry for the details....just saying.
