Hi Ladies - just wondering if any of you have tried the Clear Blue Easy 7-day Ovulation test sticks and/or if any of you had gotten pregnant using them? Figured I'd take a quick poll before I shell out the $30 - or am I better off just tracking my ovulation on my own? We are just now starting to "try" for our 2nd, but we want to get pregnant asap so I've been thinking about getting them. Thanks!!
I used the clear blue easy fertility monitor and really liked it. It let me know for sure I was ovulating - which for us was helpful - since when we ended up needed fertility treatments - the doctors knew for sure that wasn't the problem. I'm using it again to try for #2.
I do think just regular old charting is just as accurate. The only issue for me was I have insomnia - and the wacky sleep made it hard for me to get a good temp pattern.
Either way - you can confirm ovulation - which is very helpful.
I had no luck with the pee-on-a-stick ovulation tests. They were never quite positive for me. My best luck while TTC was using the My Days app on my phone. It was surprisingly accurate and we got pregnant within 8 months.
My husband & I used the thermo-sympto method of charting and it really helped confirm ovulation & conception (I'm highly irregular but with my chart, I was able to ID the exact date, which was later confirmed by ultrasound. If the Dr had relied on LMD method, my due date would have been off by a whole month!) If you want to get started, you need a basal therm and a basic intro guide. myfertilitycharts.com was useful but we also took an actual class offered by the Couple to Couple League. In this area, there are a ton of courses.
