Baby is feet down...

I had my appointment tonight and my midwife confirmed LO is feet first, hoping the baby turns on it's own. Anyone else is a similar boat?

  • Maybe a retarted question because I will be a FTM and don't have my next appt. till next Fri. but how did the Dr. determine which way the baby was?

  • Mine too... That was as of 9/20.... Now I can't wait to see if he moved... I keep on trying to encourage him to go upside down... but I don't know... I know when he had all the room in the world he favored the upside down position... now he is right side up... But now I think his head is on the right side of my stomach... or it is his butt  :P

  • My baby's turning all the time and I thought all of them were!  I mean that I can feel her turn around and move from kicking my ribs to feeling flutters near my bladder.  I think she changes positions completely about 1-2 times a day.  Good question for my OB I guess, but, I didn't think we had to even think about what position they're in until the last few weeks or days!

  • Her head is in my ribs and she seems to think that my pelvic bone is her personal trampoline.  I was going to have a c-section anyway because the hospitals in my area don't do vbacs, so my doctor is not concerned at all.  You still have time to turn.

  • You have a looooooooooong ways to go before you need to be worried about this.

  • You're just a week and a few days ahead of me.. I'm in a similar boat! (as far as position not being the desired one) At my appointment last week, the midwife said my baby is in a Frank Breech position. (aka he's in a jack-knife dive position with his feet up by his head, which are near my rib cage). I was momentarily worried..just thinking about how my husband and I are both tall people and hoping he'd have the space to turn.. but the midwife said it's way too early to be concerned. Any one else with the same issue thought about trying out the belly buds? or the spinning babies technique if it comes down to the position being unchanged as due date draws closer?

  • My first baby didn't turn until 37 weeks.

Have you tried chiropractic or accupuncture? Even spinning babies might help. :)

Good luck! Most of 'em flip :)

  • Still lots of time to turn around.  My last baby was frank breech, but turned around 33 weeks.  And I know a couple girls whose babies turned between 38-41 weeks
