Babies r Us and Amazon Registry completion question

We've had both our showers so I want to buy the rest of our registry items.  I'm having a little trouble figuring out how the completion coupon/programs work.  My due date is Dec 12, but I've having twins so I didn't want to wait until 30 days prior to do the completion.  I updated the due date to 10/4 in hopes of receiving a coupon, but I got nothing.  Did I screw this up?  Anyone been through these programs before and can help me out with what I need to do??

    Amazon's completion coupon goes "live" on the account before the due date. I was thinking it was about 6 weeks before. I am not sure if changing the date would turn the coupon on or not. I don't think it would make it not possible, but you might have to wait a few more weeks. I have had good luck using the "contact us/live chat" feature with Amazon to do some returns and exchanges of things purchased off the registry so maybe they could help. Also, I never got my babies r us completion coupon...I ended up just talking to the babies r us registry people at the store to get it worked out.

    babies r us discout is 2 weeks before. I wanted to use mine, so i called. Super bummed now. I know I wont feel like shopping that pregant, and my LO could be here! I wish i would of made the event date my shower instead of my due date. Angry

    For BRU, I got my coupon in the mail about 1 month before my due date.  I believe their corporate only sends out the coupons once a month, so depending on when you changed your date, you may have to wait for next month's mailing.  A lot of stores will let you use it early if you go in and speak with the manager and ask for it.

    For Amazon, it's 30 days prior to your event and your registry has to have been active for 14 days prior to that date.  I think you get an email, but you should keep checking their site for a banner at the top about the availability of the discount.

    If you change your due date on Amazon, you'll get it early. That's what I had to do and was able to purchase everything we need last month.
