My aunt gave me a free sample of the TimeWise Cleanser. So far, i love it. I've only been using it for a week.

Anyone else here like Mary Kay?

  • I used it for several months when I was a teenager and honestly I hated it! It made my face break out more. I even tried different face washes they had (Time Wise & Velocity) and they both were no bueno!

Now I use Clinique and I swear by it! Been using it since 2006.

Same here. I was solely a Lancome girl, then over the last year as I have run out of stuff my MIL has been sneaking in BeautiControl to replace it...I love it (and I can't complain that so far it has been free!)

  • I used to use Mary Kay, Clinique, Jo Malone...then IF ruined my ability to splurge with money, so now I use whatevers cheapest.

It's all I use.  I love it and all of my skin care/makeup is Mary Kay.  My mom used to sell it and now she just orders for personally use and family.  It's nice with the 50% discount!

I was just given this cleanser. It made my skin really dry so I quit using it.

  • My mom sold Mary Kay when I was a kid, and I talked to her about it when I was older. She said she quit selling it because she was told to subtly suggest to other women that they were ugly, to entice them to buy the makeup. Even though I know it was just certain saleswomen, it has always made me not want to use the brand. I personally really like MAC and Laura Mercier.

ETA: Clinique is also great. I love their Dramatically Different moisturizer and 7 Day Scrub.

  • I think every line has its good products and not so good products. I rely heavily on reviews at beautypedia.com when making product choices. But I do absolutely LOVE Mary Kay's concealer. It's one of the best I've ever tried, and I've tried a lot, from MAC to CoverGirl to Bare Minerals. It's a good deal at $10. Also, the spf 15 tinted lip balm is really nice.

  • The only thing I can't live without from Mary Kay is their Satin Hands collection. I even use it on my feet. Their makeup is overpriced for what you get though.

  • Never tried it, but I remember my sister "won" a Mary Kay makeover once. It was kind of pointless since they don't actually put the makeup on you. So instead of a makeover, it was basically the MK lady trying to sell the product.

  • I've been to a few Mary Kay parties, but I'm not a big fan. I use Clinique for my face wash, and I love it. I use Clinique for make-up as well. I love their eyleliner.

I love their mascara! I used to use their Velocity face wash when I was younger and it worked great. Now that I am older I have been using more anti aging products.
