So I have these "regulars" that come in the restaurant I work at and they do the most bizarre thing. First of all they come in and eat at this place about 5 nights a week...every week, and they order the.same.meal. every single time (they split a meal). The weird part is that immediately when the I come to the table, they hand me this little piece of paper with their order TYPED out. Then the woman asks if I have any questions about it. Its so weird and a bit insulting b/c it gives me the impression that they think their order it so complicated (which it is not), that no one could possibly "get it right." On top of all this, the tip pretty horribly. Strange people.
Re: Can I tell you about a couple of weird customers...
Weird! My first thought with the typed order was that maybe they're hearing impaired. But it sounds like she talks to you. Maybe they are autistic? I think that often times they can take comfort in routine and also have a hard time navigating through social norms.
I wonder!
yeah, nope, they do talk to me (very briefly) and they talk to one another the whole meal. They seeeem normal, lol.
Lol. I wonder if they are bad tippers too!
