I don't want to go through the pain of letting my milk dry up.
I'm lazy in the middle of the night. It's easier to just whip out the boob than prepare a bottle.
I like taking breaks at work even if all I do is pump.
I like the looks of awe on my family members faces when they find out I'm still BF-ing.
It's super cheap.
Re: Reasons I still BF
I'm really going to love those looks if I make it past a year!
BFP #1 9/7/10, EDD 5/14/11, Violet born 5/27/11.
BFP #2 4/9/12, EDD 12/16/12, M/C Rory 4/24/12.
BFP #3 10/6/12, EDD 6/16/12., Matilda born 6/17/13.
Everything you said for sure.
Also, (even though some might not like this) It's the perfect knock out juice for naps and bedtime
I worked SO HARD at breastfeeding that I feel like I will want to keep going for even longer than I had originally planned (1 year). It was seriously the hardest thing I've ever had to make work.
I've got a few more too...
I am way too lazy to have to constantly be washing bottles
I like that my baby is getting my antibodies
I love that my baby needs me.
I can still eat like I did when I was pregnant, and lose weight.
I can travel and not have to worry about bringing enough food for the baby, plus no bottles and other stuff, plus no worrying about new water upsetting his tummy.

Exactly this! Adding- during hurricane Irene, I didn't need to stock up on sterilized water and formula or worry about having to prepare bottles with no electricity.

I'm saving the money for spring break in Florida faster since we don't have to pay for formula!!! Which means the faster I pay for spring break, the faster I save money for a new car!!!
Spring break and the beach is my mantra as I pump.
I definitely miss the convenience of it. But I don't miss pumping all.the.time and I don't miss the wine anymore...because I drink it freely.
(Breastfeeding as a working mother is a whole different ballgame. I just need to say that out loud. Not that you deserve gold over silver, but...pumping...in one word. BLOWS)
personally, i'd say it sucks.
Yes. Better adjective/verb.
I hear ya. I keep telling myself, "cold and flu season is here, I can't quit pumping"
Yep. I hate pumping. I supplement also because I don't make enough being here at work. My little chunker likes to eat. Breastfeeding is hard in general. I feel like I'm one of the only ones who hurt themselves doing it. It's my fault for bad positioning, but I didn't know at the time! Even that didn't stop me though. I almost quit twice but things improved and Im just really careful now. I see a sports medicine doctor on Monday so Im hoping this is the right doctor for me and I stop hurting. Chiro and PT didn't help. Yoga and my heating pad has helped immensly.
I feel you! We had thrush twice!! For over a month and a half. IT WAS AWFUL.
If Silas would have taken formula, I would have weaned him then and there.
I'm happy we were able to get over it, and are still BF, but at the time I was done.
Why?

These for sure. My family wasn't in awe about me BFing, but DH's was.
I also love the blissful, eyes half open, nursing face that DD makes.
Like some PPs have said, I also like the cup size increase.
this.

Yeah I am trying to figure out how this is odd? This is the BEST POST EVER!
Dh informed me last night that I must breast feed forever! He loves my boobs!
I work full time and still bf and have not supplemented, it is such a great feeling and acomplishment. I am so happy bfing and not having to lug around bottles, water nad formula isthebest thing ever! And I honestly love the look on ppls faces when I jsut bf where ever I want! Oh and I love when ppl try saking me if I cam going to sit in my car, other room, bathroom...and I say... Why would I do that? Do you eat in your xxxx?
Exactly.
Oh and I have basically trained my boobs to only have to be pumped (with my manual pump, I ditched my PISA) once a day, if that. I am blessed to have a close-by daycare where I can feed her when I drop her off and feed her at lunch. She takes maybe 5 oz. of pumped milk at DC and I pump about 8oz. a day. I have a giant freezer stash and am always "ahead" with bottles at DC.
Just know, ladies who are on #1 and having a tough time or quit, #2 could possibly be this easy. By this time with #1 I was supplementing half of his milk with formula, struggling for every drop of BM and he was a terrible nurser. And somehow my lazy boob switched sides, Righty was a dud last time but is now Supastah.
This gives me hope. I've been supplementing since 3 months and while I don't mind because she still gets mostly boob I do hope that next time I can go longer without having to use formula. I pump about 6 ounces a day while at work. Not enough since she gets three feedings.
