Mostly big, but we have gotten a few long sleeve shirts that were much shorter then expected and they grew out of quickly. We have some hand-me-downs from gymboree, but mostly I buy clearance. For example, he has a cotton long sleeve pants outfit, and the sleeves are too short but the pants are still too long without rolling. Sorry, that may not help much.
They run a little big. They always fit my kids true to size, but my kids are big. Always try on the items you buy before washing to see how they fit. The same size can sometimes fit differently from line to line. Also they don't really shrink much.
In my experience, small (but I have big kids). I feel like if you use Carters as being true to size, Gymboree was a little smaller while Old Navy/Gap is quite a bit smaller. Or maybe Gymboree is the norm and Carters is big..... everyone buys us so much Carters stuff I just use it as a guide.
Re: Gymboree sizes run big or small?
In my experience, both. Big on DS and smaller-true on DD. But DS is small-average for his age and DD is large.
That probably wasn't very helpful.
For me, big or exactly... I feel like the cuts are more forgiving and fit my daughter longer than other brands.
She's a 24mo or 2T in Target Circo...everywhere else is 18-24mo
Growing Up Olson
I feel like they run big. Like, 6-12 is really 12, 12-18 is really 18, and 18-24 is really 24.
My DD is mostly in 18's can wear their 12-18s but not their 18-24s.
