Food Allergy

Wheat and soy bean are a level 2, peanut and milk are a level 3 and egg whites are a level 4.  That (and codfish?) are all they tested.  It's funny because I've only ever noticed a response to milk (though she's never had straight egg).  The doctor said we should avoid level 3s and higher and if that takes care of the eczema, then we are good.

  • sorry to hear about the lengthy allergy list.. but at least you know now.

My son gets eczema even from his level 2 allergies (which is soy).  But we're choosing to let him have it from time to time just so that he's exposed to it (hopefully it's helping him and not harming him)

  • We were hoping that avoiding my DD's food allergies would take care of her eczema too, but the doc determined that she just has eczema and that food allergies could affect definitely cause a flare up, but she flares up easily even avoiding foods.
