I'm just on for a minute in between feedings, but wanted to post a quick birth story and picture of Hailey.

I had a doctor's appointment Monday morning and she decided to send me to be induced Monday night because of Hailey's size and the fact that I was 5cm and 90% effaced.

We arrived at the hospital around 6pm on Monday night and got checked in and settled in our room around 6:45.  They broke my water at 7:15, and I started having strong contractions around 7:45.  I labored in the labor tub until about 8:15 and then decided to get in the shower.  They checked me when I got out of the tub and I was 8cm.  I was in the shower for around 20 minutes and felt the urge to push, so I got in the bed and was checked again and ready to go.  I started pushing at 8:45 and pushed through two contractions and Hailey was born at 8:51pm.

I couldn't have asked for a better birth experience. The nurses and midwives were fantastic and totally supportive.

She was 21 inches long and 8lb 14.5oz (half and ounce bigger than her big sister)

We're home now and totally in love.
