Recommend a pedi in Dunwoody area

Hi all! I need a pedi rec in Dunwoody or Sandy Springs. We chose our new pedi based on recommendations from my DH's coworkers. We've only seen the guy once and he drove me freaking nuts. He was rude and condescending. His advice for BFing was completely wrong and some of the things he said about basic baby care or health were just plain wrong. I pointed out to him that I am also a physician and some of the advice he was giving was outdated according to the AAP, and he blew me off. We have a weight check tomorrow that I will keep just to avoid issued when we switch, but I have no intention of going back for DD's 1 mo and DS's 3 yr appts. Any recs? TIA!

Ha, hopefully someone doesn't recommend him here!

We see Dr Loventhal at Children's Wellness, as do several other girls on here. I can not say enough good things about him, he is awesome.

We love Dr. Sally Marcus at Northside Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. She also teaches breastfeeding classes on the side and so she's very knowledgeable and helpful.

Thanks, ladies! And no, no one has recommended him here so far. I swear, if I hadn't had a nasty spinal headache at that first appt I would have told them I wasn't coming back!

I personally had a horrible experience at Children's Wellness. I thought the practice was arrogant and condescending. We had other issues as well like trying to force formula on us in the hospital and failing to diagnose my child with RSV and making my husband feel like an idiot for even bringing him in. After the RSV incident, we left the practice.

We take MJD to Dunwoody Pediatrics and I have been very pleased. At first we were seeing the NP - Michelle Barton, who is just so entirely sweet, then switched over to Dr. Kelly Wilburn, who we also just LOVE! Both are young, have young kids of their own and whenever I ask my 'stupid' questions they make me feel totally at ease

I will say I think a lot of who you like is obviously down to personality. We started off with a different doctor at Children's Wellness and can't stand her, and I will actually not see her when I go in there, and they know it. I think she is more interested in what she wears than how she treats her patients. I have expressed my dissatisfaction with her to them. Fortunately for us we like other doctors we have seen there, so if we have to go in for a sick visit when our doctor isn't there I just tell them I want to see anyone but her.

And on the other hand, despite the love for Dr L on here, I have a friend who doesn't like him but likes the one I don't. It is all down to personality and interaction.

We love doctor Loventhal at Children Wellness...but I second what a previous poster stated as the staff being condescending at times. The staff also for some reason, have trouble dealing/ processing our insurance when it is just Coventry and we dont have any trouble with it at any other doctors.
