Naming DD#2

I am having the most difficult time trying to figure out a name for DD#2 with my husband. We haven't agreed on anything yet! Did anyone wait until your LO was born to name the baby? I have a feeling it might come to that for us.

    We did. We had a list of about 6 names for boys and 6 for girls, and each had our favorite. After she was born, we got a moment to ourselves once we got into our room and then we talked about it and decided. She was probably nameless for a couple hours...

    ETA: It will be the same thing this time. I cannot commit to a name before the baby is born - what if they don't look like a George (or whatever)? We'll wait and meet baby before we choose again.

    With DD1, DH and I could only agree on ONE name, so that was it. Same thing happened this time around, he vetoed every name I suggested except for one, and vice versa, so that's what we chose. GL, it's hard!

    we had a name all picked out for Lorenzo at around 25 weeks- then he was born- and it just wasnt the right name...we spent the next 5 days going through all the baby name books again- making lists, etc..

    so yeah- I would take the books just in case...

    even though we have a pretty good idea for this baby- I still have the book packed- just in case...

    We didn't settle on Evan until the last week and, even still, packed the baby name book just in case.  All the other names we came up (that I liked!) I found reasons why we couldn't name our son that.  With Claire we went to the hospital with two names and a few middle name options and decided on Claire (without really speaking about it a final time we sort of just knew and said it to each other) when she was born.  Middle name took an extra day.

    We picked a name right around our a/s last time and stuck with it.  If for some reason we felt differently when she was born, we would have changed it.  I think we have a name now for this one but still need to go through some other ideas. We started talking names as soon as we found out we were pregnant.  I'm pretty sure we were planning to use the same boy name from the first time.

    Both of my nieces were named in the hospital, and really they were named like last minute before they left, lol and they were in the hospital for 6 days with the first.  My sister and BIL would never discuss names and took forever to decide.
