Pls help me with a costume idea, I'm drawing a blank

I need a costume idea for my three year old ds1 and 6 month (he will be 7 mo) ds2 for Halloween. We are going to be walking around a community event so I need them to be warm and I will most likely wear ds2 in a mei tai or wrap so I can't really put him in bunting. I was going to dress them as a monkey and a banana but wearing ds2 is the fly in the ointment since that won't work with banana bunting. Any great ideas?

    Can you decorate the mei tai as a banana?  I am thinking yellow felt and safety pins and a yellow hat?

    Hmmm interesting, I could get Jim some yellow pants and long sleeved shirt and a cute knit hat. Heck I might even be able to knit it for him if I can find the time.

    My plan for Halloween was fireman for DS1(3.5 years old) and dalmation for DS2(almost 4 months old)   I was going to make both costumes out of sweatsuits.

    However, DS1 has declared he is going to be a vacuum so the baby is going to be a dust bunny(bunny costume with some yarn and pillow stuffing glued on it)
