I'd like to know why I am craving tuna fish sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and dinner when I'm supposed to limit myself to 6 oz a month. Totally uncool, body... I'm requesting to crave something i can eat as much as i want of.
I'm in the same boat as you Jessi! It's driving me nuts. I think I'm going to make the same request my friend did after both her daughters were born- The first thing I want to eat after labor is a foot long tuna sub from Subway!!!! lol
I think I have been eating a lot more tuna that that! I thought canned tuna was OK (just not albacore or tuna steaks.) I have probably had about an average of 4 ounces a week. It is one of the foods that I have been craving.

Chunk light you can have twice a week. Albacore you should restrict to once a month or not at all. You can also eat farmed canned salmon (which is a little less mercury than wild caught salmon), although I'm not sure whether a salmon salad would hit the spot as well as a tuna salad would.
I've been totally craving fish, myself. Thus, I've been googling mercury contents of just about every type of fish out there.
Oh my gosh I have been totally craving Tuna and turkey sandwiches hardcore!!! Really anything I can't have I guess. I never eat tuna, but I gave in one day and went down to subway and got a 6 inch tuna. It was AMAZING!!! Now I must wait again for the day to come when I can have my tuna again.. haha
I just loooove tuna. I don't eat it much, and we don't usually keep it in the house, but it is hard to turn down a good tuna melt! I'm allowing myself to have it once every couple of weeks. I buy those little 3-oz cans which seem to be perfect for a sandwich!

I read in a few places, specifically americanpregnancy.org or whatever that main preg website is that its 6oz/week that is ok to eat of chunk light tuna.
And I've been eating turkey sandwiches at least once a day, is there something wrong with that???
I actually heard from ladies on here that if you heat the turkey first its fine. Which I started doing recently.

You are correct. The concern is listeria, same for all lunch meats. So if it's heated it's fine.
