Idea for 1st birthday present

I am thinking of getting this for Charlotte and setting it up in our computer room, which is pretty much empty except for the computer desk. I thought it would be nice to have something in the house to play with now that the weather is going to be getting colder. Is this too old, or appropriate because she will be able to use it (with help) now and she will still be able to grow into a bit for next summer?

    I think it would be great!  We're also thinking about getting a slide for Stella to use in our basement during the winter and then put it outside next spring.  Where did you find this one?

    We bought this for L last year- we used it at his first bday party, through the summer, and he still uses it...

    one of the best things...last year I had to really help him but he's really climbing now- so he can totally go all over this and in the last few weeks he started crawling through the bottom too...
