I am so proud of myself. Please humor me. These are my first attempts at crocheting. DD loves everything I made for her. I made Asher a hat today. He mostly just likes to eat it.
Cupcake hat
Poncho (ignore her grumpy face... she was mad that I made her stand still)
Wrist warmers (way too much arm waving to get a shot of these on her)
So this is what I have been doing with myself lately.
Re: I learned to crochet PIP
From someone who has no idea about this, that looks awesome!
I want to learn how, was it pretty easy?
Thanks! it was super easy. I learned on You Tube. lol There is a channel Bobwilson123, and she does step by step instructions. I got the hat and poncho from her. I figured out the wrist warmers on my own. You should totally learn how to crochet. It's fun!
Thanks! I'll have to watch it and see if I can manage to figure it out
You are very welcome! You'll be amazed at how easy she makes it!
So awesome! I love the cupcake hat.
I also recently taught myself how to crochet from youtube. lol It's pretty handy!
I made a couple of hats and am working on a blanket, but nothing as cute as that hat!
You Tube is the best. haha It's amazing what you can learn. I never would have thought to make a cupcake hat. I am definitely making one of these every time I find out a friend is having a baby girl.
How is your blanket turning out? I have yet to finish one. I can't keep count of my stitches with Emma climbing all over me and Asher yanking on my yarn. I need to find somewhere quite (hahahahaha) to at least get the first couple of rows finished and a pattern started. DD has a bunch of scarf for her baby dolls from all my failed attempts.
The blanket is turning out nice, the pattern is really easy, it's called a 'lacy lapghan'. I'm making it for my bff who is having a baby girl in January. I'd like to get it done for the shower, which a month away. It's even smaller than the instructions said to make it, so I think I'll get it done in time. I do a few rows once or twice a week after Jackson goes to bed, I've been working on it for over a month now. lol
I know what you mean about LO yanking on the yarn!! When I first started learning I bought a couple of skeins and tried to make them into yarn balls because I didn't know you could just pull from the center... fail. Well, Jack LOVED the process and I ended up just letting him play in it. Big mistake. It took me an entire day to untangle a skein.
WOW, I am seriously impressed. It looks great. I love the colors you picked too.
My mom was great at crocheting, but I never learned from her when I had the chance. I've bookmarked that channel and emailed it to myself so I can check it out tonight after DS has gone to bed. I've tried to teach myself before, but it's never worked out. Hopefully this time I can get it.
