I decided to just get a repeat. I had a great experience with my first and my OB is all for me just scheduling it since I tend to get super anxious when stressed/in pain. Anyone else? How was your experience with the first?

Re: Anyone else getting a repeat c-section?
I had a repeat c/s with DD#2 and will with this one also. I had wavered on doing a VBAC with DD#2 but was worried about the unknown having not labored very far with DD#1 (ended up with pitocin, she didn't do well on it, when they took me off my body stopped progressing. I only made it to 3.5-4 cm.). But DD#2 made my decision easy, she was breech. They weren't going to try to try turning her since I'd already had a c/s. So repeat it was. And since I've had 2 already, our hospitals won't do a VBAC with a 3rd following 2 c/s.
Even though I was hoping to avoid a c/s with DD#1 and am still saddened that I won't get the experience of a vaginal delivery, my c/s was actually pretty easy. Recovery was quick and I didn't have any complications. Recovery with DD#2 was also very quick. I was actually only in the hospital for 2 nights and was pretty much up and about taking care of both girls right away.
Good luck!
This is so great to know. I'm so fearful since I've been so "cocky" about how easy my c-section was and how easy recovery was that in no way will it be this time. This gives me hope!!

I'll be having a repeat c/s. My first c/s was pretty rough and the scar looks terrible, so I'll be having a scar revision. My insurance also covers a tummy tuck, and I was all for it at first, but the more I think about it the more it scares me. My previous c/s was the only surgery I've ever had and I know that I can handle the recovery for that, not too sure if I can handle the recovery with a tummy tuck added into the mix.
Honestly, I didn't even consider VBAC. I had a terrible labor with DS and some pretty scary complications and so I've pretty much come to terms with the idea that I'll need a c/s for all my pg's.
THIS exactly.
My Wedding Bio!
I plan to have another c-section. I had a quick recovery with my first, and I like the idea of not going into labor, and having a set date!
I'll have to see if my insurance covers tummy tucks. I am seriously considering it, but my obgyn said they can't do it right after c-section b/c the skin stretches, and they don't know how much to take off until I get closer to pre-pregnancy weight.
After my first was born, I weighed less a year after she was born than I did before, and my belly never looked the same
I had a lot of extra skin.
This, plus even if my c/s recovery had been a cake walk, I still wouldn't want to put my body through unnecessary major surgery again.
DD2 was a RCS (DD1's was unplanned) and the boys will be as well
I am really looking forward to it as I had a quick/easy recovery with DD2's.
My only concern this time is not c/s-related, but rather wanting to make it to the 37/38 wk mark (our goal). I have a history of PTL, so we'll see
