*~*HDBD*~*

Let's see those belly's and babies!!

QOTW: Outside babies: How old was LO when you first took them out of the house? If you haven't, when do you think you'll take them out of the house? I wouldn't count doctor appointments, since they need to go to those.

QOTW: Inside babies: When do you think you'll take LO out of the house after they're born? Again, doctor appointments don't count.

Re: *~*HDBD*~*

  • This is from yesterday, when he was 1 month old. I can't believe how fast it's going! Makes me very sad.

QOTW: I was in the ER 8 days pp, immediately following Cael's first pedi appointment, so unfortunately, he was in the ER with me then. But we first brought him to the mall when he was about 2.5 weeks. It was in the middle of the day, so there was hardly anyone there. And we only had to go to one store to exchange something.

  • She is still an inside baby, but I'll probably bring her out as soon as I'm cleared to drive.  DS will still be at daycare 3 days a week so I'll need to drop him off and pick him up.  The directors said I could leave DD with them so I wouldn't have to bring her into the toddler room with all their germs.

  • took him out at 4 days.  i take him in and out of ds1's "school" three days a week.  no choice on that one.  but, we go grocery shopping and stuff too.  I usually just wear him.

of course...he also has his first cold already that dh brought home for all of us.

this was last week for his first monthday:

QOTW:  He was fine.  I did have to nurse him under a cover at BRU yesterday, but otherwise he's been totally chill when we go out.

Taken September 30th on his one month b-day.

I have not yet taken him out.  Call me paranoid but dr. said wait for shots which take place on Oct. 17th, so I am waiting.  We did however go out to the outdoor outlets, but we only went into Red Mango to eat quick.  Mom babysits while I run errands.

  • We took her to the mall at 2 and a half weeks, she slept he whole time. She sleeps in her carseat whenever we put her in it, if I need a shower and no one else is home, I feed her, change her and put her in her carseat, then take it in the bathroom with me lol. She sleeps great!

  • Carter is now 9 days old.  We took him out for the first time on Saturday Oct 1...he was 5 days old to go to church.  He's also gone to school to visit his big brother and sister's classes.

We'll probably take him out in the stroller around our neighbourhood as soon as I'm feeling okay to take a short walk.  Hopefully that will be in the next week...

  • Her picture is in my signature, but we brought her out the day after we came home. We took her to church. I bring her out of the house at least 4-5 times a week though. She really enjoys being outside and going places. Maybe I'm not as cautious as a lot of moms though :/

This is a picture from my birthday lunch on Monday, October 3rd. Chunky Monkey was 3 weeks and 5 days :) He is one month old today!

QOTW: Outside babies: How old was LO when you first took them out of the house? Well we went out to eat as soon as we left the hospital when Chunky Monkey was 2 days old. I was starving and wanted real food and was craving Applebee's. But we technically didn't take him out until he was 5 days old and went to visit my DH's family.

  • To answer your question...i left the hospital, and me & my mom stopped by Chic-fil-a, and sat down for lunch with LO (maybe 15min max). So i guess it was 2 days old...

QOTW: My mom and I took him to Target for a quick trip when he was 6 days old. Now, we go to a lactation support group once a week, a different mom's group once a week, and usually one or two other errands.

  • image 3 days ago zoned out to his magic seahorse. If you don't have one, get one! Lol!

QOTW: we took LO out and about when he was 9 days old, 2 days out of NICU. He had a pedi appointment that morning and we asked how long to wait. She said as long as we kept people away and were stocked on sanitizer that it would be fine. So we went to BRU after to get the necessities that we thought "we had plenty if time to get."

  • We took him out at 6 days to visit my grandparents.

  • I'll stick with the theme we seem to have going and use Charley's one month picture too! I love how we all bought the little month stickers that were the daily deal or whatever too! :)

QOTW: We took her out when she was 3 days old to Wal-Mart of all places! Yikes! We hadn't planned on taking her out so soon, but we had several orders in our Etsy shop the weekend she was born and we had to buy fabric to make them. I wasn't allowed to drive yet, and I couldn't trust my husband to pick out fabric so we all went. Only later did I realize what we SHOULD have done is just let DH and Charley stay in the car while I ran in. Oh well, I'm a FTM and was still learning! But we did have the cover over her in both the car seat and the stroller so  you couldn't even see her.

We did a quick Target run for 4 or 5 things at about 10 days, and then we brought her to church (in the k'tan with a strict no touching rule) at 3 weeks.

This picture is from Saturday, at 5 weeks old. What a big girl she's becoming!

We had him out and about at 5 days old, I think? We needed a few things from Target, and I was getting anxious to get out of the house. Since then, he's been to Target again (my first solo trip with BOTH boys!), several trips to the grocery store, and just this morning we cruised the mall while DS1 was at school. We also spend every Saturday at our neighbor's house watching football, so he comes along to those outings, too. We're not big on staying in the house for long!

  • For some reason my computer isn't letting me load a picture on here. But I did just add some new ones to my blog if you want to see Madilyn at 4 weeks old:)

We took her to the grocery store when she was 3 days old the day we got out of the hospital. We had no food in the house and I needed to get my prescriptions filled. Other then that it was like a week later when we took her to her doctors appt and to my work. She has been out multiple times since, we just don't let strangers touch her.

  • After his 2nd pedi appt I took him to meet some of my old coworkers at my store. So he was maybe a week old. Oh, I went to the grocery store too at some point during that week. So just a few days old. I had him in the moby, so he was pretty protected and no random people could touch him.

  • QOTW:  We had our return appt. at the hospital when DS was 1 week and 1 day.  After that we went to a diner.  I brought DS to Target yesterday at exactly 2 weeks and some random woman judged me.  She asked me how old he was and when I told her she said "Oh I wouldn't bring a baby that young out yet".  Um screw you.

Here are DS1 and DS2.  DS1 is on a clothing strike, so he's naked but all his bits are covered.
