Morning sickness getting so much worse

I am now pregnant with my first child. My husband and I are so excited. At first the morning sickness came and thought nothing of it except it is normal. Well when I was 18 I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). I have a history of seizing if it drops around 30's. I was given anti nausea medication during first appointment but it made everything worse. Well with the morning sickness (all day sickness) getting worse, my blood sugar dropped horribly. I had to go into the doctors under emergency call because of hitting and staying around the 40's. My blood sugar was marked at 96 at the hospital because right before then I used my emergency glucose pills to bring it up so nothing bad would happen on the ride to the hospital. I got new medications and so far they are working. Yet, I am worried about taking them to much. Is it bad if I take them regularly? I am worried on one hand the effects of the medications being pregnant but on the other if my blood sugar drops and I start seizing that could be worse. I am just all worried about it.

  • I think you should ask your doctor but I don't see how a glucose pill would hurt the baby since it's someone the body makes naturally and needs.

  • I am not worried about the glucose pills, it is the other medication given to me. I know in Germany (where I grew up), the nausea medication that was given out to pregnant women cause complications to the baby. It was really bad and it was given in the US as well. That is why I am worried.
