I guess I've never really shared this and maybe that it was selfish or maybe I just don't think about this very much. 

My brother would now be classified as Autistic.  They didn't really diagnosis autism as autism back then so he was just Special Needs.  He is doing great and living on his own in Florida working at Disney.  Sure, he has his challenges but he is super happy.

Why am I bringing this up?  I had a good friend whose son was just diagnosed with Autism this week.  She said talking to me really helps.  So if you ever need to, message me.  I also know what it is like to have a child that has something extra special. :)

Also, another friend's son is autistic and she has a wonderful blog about B.  You have to start from the beginning but I wanted to share if you need it.

    Thanks so much for sharing.  My son Adam was diagnoised with Autism last week.  I have to admit I'm still a little unsure on who/how to tell people other than our close family.  I'm still at the lost point, but hoping to find some great support soon.

    I promise it will be okay.  But yes, after any diagnosis it is hard.  For the first 4 months after Colton's diagnosis I broke down and cried at least once a day.  You have to release, then regather and move forward.

    Hang in there girl.  I imagine you are going through a million different emotions right now.  Take some time to process everything and know you can vent/cry/whine here  whenever the feeling hits.  You'll be in my thoughts!
