Frustrated!

In an effort to a) make room in the nursery and b) make a little extra money for the nursery, I am trying my darnedest to sell our futon. And IT. IS. NOT. HAPPENING.

It's a nice futon, well built, made all with hardwood (not like those Ikea ones with the plywood slats underneath that break really easily). I've got it listed for $150 on Craigslist. I'd go down to $100, but it's really a nice piece of furniture that I'd hate to sell for less than that.

What really kills me is that it is in our garage. Our crib is in our garage. I can't bring the crib in until we get rid of the futon. And I REALLY want to move the crib into the nursery. I'm trying to design the room and it's hard without seeing exactly how big the crib is and what the best layout is going to be. Grrr....

So...anyone want a futon?

  • What about moving the futon to the garage so you could bring the crib in?  I hope it sells soon!

  • Sorry you are frustrated but I am going to go with the people that aren't buying your futon because it is over priced.  Although we all wish we could sell furniture for what we know it is worth your best bet is to search for other futon's for sale and price accordingly.  There isn't a big return on used furniture which is great for buying but bad for selling.  I hope it sells quickly.

  • Sorry, I reread my reply and it sounds a little harsh.  What I meant was that I understand it can be frustrating that things don't sell for what we know they are worth.  I agree, maybe for the time being put the futon in the garage so you can move the crib inside.
