Clothes size

I just wanted to know what size clothes LO is wearing? And diapers?

DD is in size 4s for diapers and wears 6-12 month dresses, 12-18 mos sweaters, and umm 3T tshirts and 24 mos onesies. Our T-shirts and onesies shrink a lot, is that normal?? So the only sizes that fits well are the larger sizes and she can wear them more than once. We buy our stuff from Children?s Place, GAP and Macy?s mostly. Has anyone experienced this or is my kid a chunker? She is 19 lbs according the bathroom scale lol

Re: Clothes size

  • I dont think 19 pounds is a chunker by any means. Its probably just different stores run different sizes.  LO is wearing 6-9 onsies and 9-12, but 12 mo dresses fit her nicely. 9 month pants fit perfect, but 12 month are waaaay too long. lol. Its a crap shoot, really! lol.

Yea, pants she is pretty average. It's just that for the onesies and t-shirts, they are so tight and she gets annoyed when I try to get it over her head.

  • My DD is right where your DD is. And she's 21 pounds. Size 3 shoe, size 4 diapers and crazy sizing all over the place depending on clothing brand.
  • Mine is ~18 lbs.  She's in a size 3 diaper, size 2 shoe (she has TINY feet).  She's still in 6-9 onesies but is juuust about to go into 9-12.  However, she's well into 12 mo PJs because the legs don't close properly with a CD.  She can still wear a lot of 6 and even a few 3-6 dresses and shirts, though.  6-12 or 9-12 in pants.

  • DD is 21 pounds according to our home scale.

She wears size 5 (Baby Dry, which run small) diapers. She's a size 4 in shoes - I have so many pairs that she never even got to wear. Pants - size 18 months, but probably need to go bigger soon. Onesies - size 12-18m, depending on brand. Dresses - size 12m. Sweaters - 18 months fits perfectly right now so I'm sure she'll need bigger by the time it actually starts to get cold. She doesn't usually wear shirt seperates, but if I do buy them I get size 18-24 months.

I'm secretly hoping the next baby is a girl so she can wear some of DD's things that weren't correct for the season.

  • patrick is 24lbs (he's chunky & long). for pants he's in 18m & some 24m hand-me-downs from sil that i think probably shrunk which is why they fit him. for onesies he's in 18m & 24m but if it's long sleeve we have to roll up the 24m ones a little. rompers he's in 24m & sweaters/sweatshirts 18m. for diapers he's in kirkland brand size 4 but we're squeezing him in those to finish the box, i think we'll be moving up to size 5 shortly.

  • LO is 20 lbs and she's 29 inches long.

She wears a size 5s disposables at night but they are way too big on her so I need to get more size 4s.

She wears a size 4 shoes, 18M in dresses/shirts and 12M in pants.

  • JT is still in size 3 diapers - I'm late to the game of increasing the size I guess. Maybe that explains the recent leaks. He's 20.9 pounds, probably a bit more than 30 inches.

Size 12m in just about everything, including pants, onesies. 18m sweatshirts and short-sleeved t-shirts fit best, although I do roll the sleeves on the sweatshirts. I think we'll be moving to size 18m in no time for everything else.

    PJ's 18m fit best.

I don't really have him wear shoes - he hates them so I don't push the issue. He hates socks too and usually pull them off.

  • No idea how big Simon is now, but at his 6 month he was just about 20 pounds. He's in 2T and some 3T t-shirts. 24m onsies are getting too short in the crotch even with his thinnest diapers on. I have no idea what size pants.

  • E is in 12 months in almost everything.  9 months shorts fit her perfectly but it's hard finding her pants because 12 months are to big around her waist but fit her length wise and 9 months fit her waist but aren't long enough.   I've been sticking her in long 12 month overalls because they're long enough for her and don't fall off her waist like pants do.  She also has some 9 month onesies that still kinda fit her.  She's still in 3 diapers but I think when this next box runs out we're going to try a size 4.  We have to pull the sides so they tabs still cross each other but they're barely long enough for her.  She's long and skinny and definitely did not get it from me!

  • I must have the peanut of the group.  Julia is 17lbs, size 3 diapers, size 2 shoes, and size 9 months in both tops and bottoms (we have mostly carter's cloths).  She does have a few 12 month things that she is starting to wear, but they are still really big on her.

Actually I think Emily is the group peanut at a whopping 15 lbs, 29 inches. I'm getting excited for all the extra weight checks to come because this is exactly how Aiden trended and they thought I was starving my child. Anyway she wears a size 2 shoe but it's big on her and just started wearing 6-9 month clothes and pj's. She's still in her bum genius small diapers (fits 8-16lbs)

Thanks Ladies!! And I can see we are in the same boat :) Although I am sure my LO is pretty short.

  • DS is wearing pretty much all 18m.  His shoes are size 4 although he could probably squeeze into size 3.  He wears size 3 diapers during the day and 4 at night.
