If you met a pair of twins named Avi and Liba, what gender would you assume they were? I think it is obvious, but then again I may be biased.

I would think Avi is a boy and Liba is a girl. But I'm not sure about Liba.

Avi sounds like a boy. Liba I would guess is a girl, but either way, will be tormented by being called "labia" as soon as the other kids have their first bio/sex ed class.

I'd think Avi could go either way, though I'd lean towards boy. I'd guess that Liba is a girl.

Avi is definitely a boy's name. Liba....I've never really heard it as a name (which doesn't mean it isn't one), but I know what it means so girl.

Yes, Avi, the author, is a man - but Avi isn't his real name, it's a pen name. Still, because of the author I would assume Avi was a boy and Liba....I guess girl.

I've never heard Liba but my guess would be girl if they're fraternal. If they're identical... that changes things.

It seems like the predominant assumption is correct on this board, however IRL I always get "oh is Avi the girl?" I love their names but it's frustrating sometimes. I get that some people may think Avi is a girl name but if you knew that I had boy/girl twins, to me Liba just sounds more girly so why would you think Avi was the girl. Whatever, I'm probably thinking too much about this.
