so my ultrasound this morning confirmed the baby is breech, feet are up by the head and has been like this since my u/s at 28 weeks
of course i went straight to google when i got home...any 2+ moms have breech and have success with baby flipping? i know the baby can flip up until hours before delivery. i will try anything
Re: can we discuss breech babies
Well, this is my second and he's not as accommodating as his sister was (flipped at 26 weeks and stayed that way). This one has mostly been transverse the whole time. I know there have been several people to point out spinningbabies.com. I tried some of the positions, and because of my back problems can't do some of the common positions for getting the baby to turn. Some ladies on here might point you in the direction of using chiropractic care to turn the baby. I've never had that done and can't try it now because of a back condition that would be made worse with chiropractic care.
When we went on vacation I sat in a hot tub and noticed that baby had turned the day after, so that might be an option you could try. Of course it needs to be turned down to around 98 for you to get in, and even then you aren't supposed to be in it up to your neck.
The other thing I was reading about is moxibustion. My book, "The Birth Partner" says that it is the only alternative that has prooven in studies to actually work. I hope you find something that works for you and baby soon! GL!
DD was breech. I looked at spinningbabies.com and tried a few things but there were some that I wasn't going to attempt - like the stuff with the stairs.
Babies can flip up until the bitter end, so don't stress yourself out too much. And if you have a c/s, you have a c/s. Its not the end of the world. I survived mine with DD and am ok if I have to go through it again with this baby.
This LO was breech at my 30 week u/s and flipped by the time I had my 35 week u/s (although I am afraid she may have flipped again). There's still time, so good luck!
This baby has flipped twice - once from breech to head down and now he is Frank breech. It looks like I might have a gymnast in my belly.
You still have time to flip.
my baby is breech too, as of last apt. They mentioned trying the inverse to flip her but I canceled it at the last min. I decided to let nature take its course and if she doesn't flip, she doesn't flip. I'm ok with that decision. You can try the many different things available to help her to flip but my wallet just can't afford it. Good luck and do what's right for you.
