after c-section still with staples

what was your routine. dh wants to take a ride to BRU tomorrow and get some stuff.. the dr told me to take it easy.. what was your routine like during the 2 week period?

    I didn't go anywhere. It was winter time and super cold, but I stayed in until I had to go out the week after... which was Christmas :(

    Personally, I was super uncomfortable until the staples were removed (right before leaving the hospital). Once home, though, I took it easy but did leave the house on super short errands with DH now and then. Definitely take it easy, though. It's easy to think you're feeling better then do too much and feel lousy.

    The first week I stayed at home and sat in a recliner with DD. DW was still working so I kept diapers and wipes close so I didnt have to get up much. After my staples were taken out, we started to take trips to target etc.

    I went to the grocery store with my mom the day I came home from the hospital, which was also the day my staples were removed.  I think I went to Target the next day or the day after that.  I rested a lot, but still went out if I needed to.

     I went to Target with DH a few days after I got home from the hospital and I almost passed out in Target from the pain. It may have been better if I would have gotten one of those motorized carts! I don't think I'll be doing that again.

    rest.  I went to the store with ds &dh about a week after surgery just for a few items and to get out.  I almost passed out from exhaustion and I was super sore for 2 days after.

    On day five I was out for lunch with my husband, toured around town with a friend who came to visit after the birth, went shopping for baby stuff we needed, drove my own car... I more or less felt fine to get up and about. Everyone is different though.

    I would go. I had my staples out at 1 w pp. The whole time I was in the hospital I was walking back and forth from the Nicu anyway.

    They took my staples out after only 1 week. Huh, I wonder why... Is it standard to keep them in for 2 weeks?

    Anyway, I took it really easy for that week. The staples pinch and hurt when I moved too much. I didn't even go up stairs at our house except to take a shower. Baby and I slept in the living room. We may have gone to the store once or twice, but I was going so slow that my husband did most of that.
