Lanoue25 update with PIPS!

Just wanted to give a quick update- she and baby Kennedy are doing well. Kennedy is finally off oxygen (!) and is eating every three hours. She's a little under 6 pounds now (was 6lb2oz at birth) and seems to be doing well- though she does swallow a lot of air when she's eating. She's eating about 10cc at a time right now. She had a reaction from the tape they were using on her face but other than a rash she's doing okay. She's also the biggest baby in the nicu!

Lanoue finally had her kidney drain clamped and they are waiting to see how her kidney functions now. So far so good. The C-Section recovery hasn't gone very well- she's still in a huge amount of pain and her OB isn't doing as much as she should to help with pain management.  

Kennedy has a FULL head of dark hair and is absolutely beautiful.

After two losses, a rainbow arrived! DD born 11.5.11
Dx with severe Asherman's syndrome after a botched PP D&C (pursuing med mal)
Hysteroscopy Oct '13, not enough progress 
Hysteroscopy Jan '14, given an end-of-the-road diagnosis
Joined International Asherman's Association April '14 
Not ready to give up yet.
Hysteroscopy with Dr. Isaacson (an expert in the USA) 6.2.14: Good prognosis, at least 50% of cavity open.
Repeat hysteroscopy scheduled with Dr. I on 6.16.14. Great progress. Unbenched!!!!
Discussing actively TTC with DH after the heartache of the last year. We're both reeling.

    I am sorry to hear about all of her troubles. I hope she gets some pain relief soon. Kennedy is beautiful. I love her fuzzy hair! I just want to snuggle her up!!

    Kennedy is just precious!  Congratulations Lanoue!  I hope your pain control improves, and that your belligerent kidney snaps back into action very soon.

    (As an aside, have you tried an abdominal binder to help with the pain?  It is not a cure all by any means, but I have heard good things from friends and colleagues who had c-sections about use of a binder in the immediate post-op period.)

    She is SO adorable!!!!  I'm sorry Lanoue's doctor/nurses aren't doing much for the pain, I hope she has an easy recovery.
    TTC since January 2010
    BFP 5/9/10. U/S - no heartbeat 6/2/10 (7 weeks). Induced miscarriage 6/7/10.
    Chemical pregnancies 12/2/10, 1/3/11, and 2/7/11.
    dx: RPL due to poor quality uterine lining; begin progesterone January 2011
    BFP 3/10/11. EDD 11/19/11. E arrived 11/15/11!

    Just as a thought, if her OB isn't helping her, she could ask for an anesthesia consult.  They might be able to offer a solution.
