My DD has been on alimentum since 8 weeks old due to MSPI. Around 10 months we introduced yogurt and cheese and seems ok. On Saturday we tried mixing 2 oz wcm to 4 oz alimentum. She has had weird poops, been fussy (though this isn't totally out of the ordinary lately) and today her eczema that is on her cheeks is worse, I notices the same bumps on her arms as her cheeks (a first) and she has awful diaper rash. Obviously I'm going to stop wcm, but her pedi suggested trying lactose free milk? Anyone had success with that? Or what other options have you tried? She will be 12 months next week. TIA!

Re: MSPI --> wcm transition? Lactaid?
My LO was on lactose via pedi recommendations. When I told my allergist that he laughed in my face. Your LO should be on a different milk like almond, rice, oat, or coconut. Almond milk is tasty and a great place to start.
you don't want the protein from the milk. You would still get that in Lactaid
I would have her tested for an allergy. A lot of people think its only an intolerance but it turns out to be an allergy.
Not sure what lactose free milk would do but i have seen it on here before where people were not ok with wcm but ok with lactose free milk. But i don't think the signs were eczema.. usually eczema means an allergy.
