I personally am thrilled she was found innocent. Not sure why - I don't know all the details about it but from what I know I think it's great. I guess because I was an exchange student so I can relate to her. I also think she should rake in all the dough she possibly can to somewhat make up for the 4 years of her life she lost and all of the money her family must have spent to help her. It's amazing what a supportive family she had to stand by her over there as much as they did.
And then I wonder, who murdered that poor British girl and why? Wonder if we'll ever find out.

This is me too, I think because I can't imagine being tried for anything in another country. At least if she were tried here she'd sort of have an idea of her rights and the system, but who knows how these things work abroad. At least I don't know how they work.

I don't really know too much about the case. I just started following it a few days ago, so it's hard to form a proper opinion. I want to say she didn't do it. There was literally no incriminating evidence and I'd hate for anyone to be put away with no proof.
I'll admit it - I cried when they found her not guilty. Assuming she didn't do it, this poor girl has been put through the ringer. Four years in jail, TWO murder trials. Her stepdad moved to Italy so she's always have someone nearby. I'm glad they can all start moving on now.
I think she did it but with anything that has a media hype over it, the defense always wins, aka OJ Simpson, Casey, DSK and now her.
I read an interesting article the other day about AK and how she's been portrayed in the media here, in the UK and in Italy. Apparently in the UK she's basically the same brand of unfeeling sociopath as Casey Anthony and in Italy she's a sociopath but with overtones of superiority, that she thought would never ever get convicted because the rules don't matter for her (a la, American arrogance).
