Nipple question

So this question would most likely be for second time moms who currently have or did have in the past nipple piercings. If there are any of you and you won't mind admitting it! I was doing some reading and it said that the nipple is actually set up more like a sponge with tiny little holes instead of one large stream (even though that is not the way it may look.)

So the question is if you have/had two holes in each nipple, one on either side, will milk squirt or leak directly out of the holes? This may be a dumb question but I can't figure it out.

My sister had them pierced and had real trouble nursing any of her children. But I think it was more of a hormone deficiency than a piercing issue. In any case, no milk came out of the sides. It's really just on the flat surface that has multiple holes. I had about five on one side and three on the other. Hope that helps!

I've heard it's a possibility. But there is also probably some scar tissue there since it is a piercing (and assuming it doesn't close up after removal) that will also block any milk glands from forming there.

Thanks ladies. Just trying to see if I am in for some active milk time or if things will be (as) calm (as could be expected.)

I don't but my best friend did. She took them out at about 2 months pregnant said they didn't heel and can fit a small ring through..She had no problem breast feeding. She had good flow and no issues.

I had mine pierced. I took them out when I was about 6-7 months along. They were healed over (couldn't get a ring through) by the next morning and I had no problems nursing.
