I swear I'm having a boy!

So even before I was pregnant, I've always pictured myself with a boy, and so has everyone else. When I write or talk about my baby I always say or write "son" and usually go back and correct myself and add in "or daughter". I'm 12w2d now and due April 14th, 2012 and I have my second doctors appointment in one week (13w2d) and I'm wondering if my ob will be able to tell me the gender! :( I want to know so bad! I had my first appointment on 9/15/11 when I was 9w4d and had an u/s and go t to see him and hear the heart (amazing! :D) and this is my second one and I've been told that they'll just do blood work -_____- I want to know badly though!! I'm just wondering the earliest you learned your baby's gender and should I ask her if she can tell by now or what :( any tips or ideas will be nice, just some feedback April mommies(:

    I'd ask, but keep in mind that it's not as accurate that early. I got a guess this morning, but I'm not counting on anything until after the anatomy scan.

    They can't tell with much certainty until 16-18 weeks at the earliest.  You will likely be able to find out at your anatomy scan which they schedule between 18-22 weeks.

    You could ask but I would want to wait for the more definitive answer at the anatomy scan.

    I swore I was having a boy throughout my whole pregnancy...and so did everyone else...until a girl popped out!  It was the best day of my life.

    My mom had a friend when I was growing up that had 3 boys and was pg again. My mom did the ring over your belly button test and it said another boy (at around 11-12 weeks) When she went for her anatomy scan the doctor said it was a girl. She belived him of course Smile until out popped another beautiful boy 6 months or so later :) I know it sounds hoakey but try it its worked for every woman in my family for 30+ yrs. It works by the magnetic pull. Boys swing back and forth, girls go around in a circle.

    We are having a 4-D gender ultrasound on 10/29 (14wk 6days), they do them as early as 14 weeks. The cost is $50.00 but we get to find out 6 weeks early! (our next U/S with our OB isn't until after week 20) I am convinced we are having a girl and I just can't wait to know if i'm right:) I don't care either way and neither does my husband... just curiosity!
