It depends. When I used to test twice daily (at 11am and 5pm), I've caught a surge (+OPK) on just one OPK, and I've caught it on 3. Getting two consecutive +OPKs in about 12 hours seems ery normal to me.
Last month my surge lasted 2.5 days (testing twice a day).
I think this is what tripped me up.
I test 3 times a day because I felt like I was missing it, then I had 2 cycles where I had 8 - 10 + tests (3 times daily), and then 2 months with no +'s.
I think I felt concerned when it was 'only' + for about 12 hours because of the previous multi-positive days.
Thanks!

Dealing with MFI, good count, good motility, 3% morph-HSG all clear, all other test results came back normal, IUI is our next step May 2012- Clomid 50mg + IUI = BFN June- Cycle Break July- Forced cycle break due to cysts August- Femara, Trigger, IUI#2= ?
I tested yesterday at 7am with FMU and got my first +, then again at 6:30pm and got a +, then this morning again at around am with FMU and got my third +.
My last cycle I got positive OPK's for two days. Over those 2 days I took a total of 3 tests. (11am, 5pm and then again the next day at 11am) by 5pm the 2nd day it was significantly lighter, so negative.

Oh ok I get what you're saying now. I still wouldn't be concerned though, you may have only caught the last 24 hrs of the surge or it just didn't last as long as the other months. I think that's normal. This is my 2nd month using them and haven't seen a positive yet, so I don't know whether or not my 2.5 days is a pattern or just a one time thing. We shall see.

7DPO Progesterone: low. CD3 BW: normal, HSG: clear
DX: severe MFI (low all 3) and low T. Undergoing replacement therapy.
Surges can last for 12-36 hours so getting positives for two days isn't abnormal by any means.

Last cycle, my surge lasted just over 24 hours, which was longer than the time before that. But I think that's normal.

Lol. We could certainly do that, but we should account for girth as well as length.
