slow shipping from Zulily?

I placed an order back on 9/17 and it's still showing as "in transit", meaning it's on the way to Zulily, not me. Is it always this slow?

I know I'm way spoiled by Amazon Prime, but it's been 2.5 weeks since I placed my order and it's not even shipping to me yet :-(

Re: slow shipping from Zulily?

  • yea, I only ordered from zulilly once but it was slow.  I think I've been spoiled by other places that ship faster too (including babysteals).

  • it and totsy are both VERY slow...I too am spoiled by amazon prime:-)
  • I'm still waiting on a Zulily order I placed on September SIXTH.  Its ridiculous that they charge $8.95 shipping, and it takes weeks to get here.  I called to complain, and they gave me an $8.95 credit to use for shipping on my next order.  Gee, thanks.  There won't be a next time.

yikes! that is not encouraging! one of the orders I placed is for some bras...and with the way my chest is growing during this pregnancy, they might not fit me by the time they get here!

  • I placed an order on 9/19 and they JUST switched to in transit from confirmed.  I've heard that Zulily is just insanely slow, so I ordered really early (stuff for DD's birthday).

  • I thought the deal with Zulily is that you buy it, and then once the sale is over, they place a bulk order for all the stuff....and only after they get the bulk order do they send it to you. So it will never be truly fast.
  • Oh no, thanks for the warning. I have a groupon to totsy that I need to use. I guess I should hurry up and use it, and maybe my stuff will get here by 2012.

I placed a totsy order on 9/23 and my account is saying it will ship on 10/20 - so expect about a month before it ships ground.

  •  I don't think it has anything to do with being spoiled by Amazon Prime. It's definitely THE slowest company I've ever ordered from (and I'm exluding furniture orders and household appliances that have taken weeks for delivery).

This.  It's part of the deal with the site, though they don't really make it obvious.

It isn't anything they are doing, they are actually waiting for the product.

  • I LOVE zulily, but definitely was shocked the first time at how SLOW they were. It's hard to beat their prices on some items though - nursing bras, etc. I just never order anything from them that I need in a hurry - and I agree with Kel - their shipping is way too much.

  • It's takes forever.  I've ordered from them maybe 2 or 3 times, and it's always been like a month later that I get the items.  I agree that the shipping is way overpriced, especially for how slow the service is.
  • Wow, Zulily is really, really slow to ship! It's been eight days since my first order and it doesn't even show that they've shipped it yet. My second order has been sitting there doing nothing.

It would be nice if they would mention that when you place the order. At the very least, they should dismiss the shipping charges from the second order (even if it isn't placed the same day) if they haven't shipped the first one yet.

I don't need instant gratification but being this slow can't be good for business. I wouldn't mind so much if I knew up front, and if they gave free shipping. I don't expect to pay shipping charges just so they can sit there and forget about my order!
