  Aim for stretchy. Everything fits DD pretty well, though Carters runs a bit small.

  MIL actually bought her 2 pairs of shorts 2 sizes up "so they fit over her diaper". They're huge on her!

  Right now I am loving Old Navy Performance Fleece pants for use over fitteds. Love love love.

  I haven't really had to size up much, to be honest. I just buy pants that have a little give, which I do anyway.

  Carter's stretchy pants.  Children's Place makes jeans with elastic adjustments in the waist.  We're able to get the right size in those and then loosen the elastic so it fits over her butt.

  Gymboree's bottoms run big from what I've seen.  They are a little spendy though.
