I thought I remembered reading that the Graco Lauren crib in espresso is more of a dark reddish or cherry wood color than a dark brown. Is this right? I just remember it in the context of people buying the Hemnes dresser from IKEA and saying the dresser was a lot more dark brown/black than the crib is.
I may have found a used glider but it is cherry wood so I'm not sure if it will go. We haven't ordered our crib yet, but I'm really leaning towards the Lauren.
Also, if you have the Lauren crib in expresso and you didn't go wtih the Hemnes, what are you using for a dresser/changing table?
Re: Graco Lauren Crib in Espresso - Color?
We have the Lauren in Espresso. It is def not cherry, it is a dark brown. We went with this dresser/changer we found on Amazon:

Hope that helps!
Here is a link to my FB pictures of the same crib in Espresso. The changing table is same brand and color, too. You can see how some cherry kind of appears in some light. For the most part, it's brown all the time. It's only if the room is pretty bright that you can see it really stand out. Oh... and the glider in the room is cherry... so compare the woods if you want. I think the pics should help you out perfectly. We really don't see a noticeable difference between them.
