EF Holiday Ideas

I've been hanging onto all my Mothering print mags since they're now defunct. The one I treasure most is the holiday edition with some really special ideas for EF, family-focused, diverse holiday traditions.

Mothering now has digital reprints of article available and you can get the one I mentioned for $1.99. (No, I don't work for Mothering nor was I pleased how they handled things at the end.) Just thought that this was a GREAT resource, and the authors discuss Solstice, Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa and give ideas for incorporating the foundations of them all into your celebrations. Smile

Or, if you'd rather tell Mothering to shove it, the authors of the article are at celebrategreen.net and their book is Celebrate Green! authors: Colwell and Colwell-Lipson.

I'm so excited for the upcoming holiday season!

Re: EF Holiday Ideas

  • Thanks for the info.  I have a feeling I will be pinning some of these ideas. We always do a pretty non-traditional holiday season and I am always looking for new ideas.

  • I checked out the website and got really excited for the "Santa Sacks" idea! My biggest complaint about Christmas is the waste from gift wrap/paper. Thanks for the link!
