when were you able to find the hb on your own?
a friend let me borrow hers and i couldn't find it today. of course i had just eaten and was gassy so that was not helpful. i'm going to take it with me to my appt on friday to see if the nurse will help me learn how to use it. i googled and i guess 12 weeks is still a little early to hear it outloud. i have only had ultrasounds so far and have not had a doppler used at the office yet...
what week were you when you were able to get the HB on your doppler at home?
Re: those of you with a doppler
I got mine at 11 weeks, couldnt find it the first day. But was able to find it the next day and have been able to since then.
Also, if you haven't seen funkymonkeyohyeahhh youtube video, make sure to check it out, super helpful.
It took me a long time to figure it out. I tried for a while and got nothing so I stopped. I was able to finally figure it out last night. I finally got that galloping sound I was looking for. Like others have said, try low and to the left and right of the belly button.
Check out the video that funkymonkey did. It helped so much!

I don't think the whoosing is the heartbeat, it sounds like galloping horse. I found mine at about 8-9 weeks
