So, hand/foot/mouth disease is going on at our daycare. Four of the 8 infants in our room have it and are currently out. I wish there was something we could do to prevent it, but they've been exposed at this point.
My DD got it at 2 months so I understand! It is horrible, but thankfully it doesn't last long! She also passed it to my husband and I we got it pretty bad, so if they do get it wash your hands a ton!! The dr had me give Addison a full dose of tylenol every 4 hours and told me to keep her skin moist. I lathered her up with Aquaphor put pants, socks, long sleeves and mittens on her hands. That really helped her heal fast. They also told me to give her cool bottles to help soothe her sore throat. I hope this helps just in case!!
My friend's two kids got it and passed it to her husband. The kids were fine a few days later, but her husband didn't treat is seriously or it just hit him harder but he ended up in the hospital.
I'm not trying to scare you or anything (although I guess there's no way around that) but don't forget about you and DH too.
I hope you're all feeling better soon, or better yet- I hope none of you get it at all!
